The NWLSRA is always looking for individuals interested in becoming soccer referees. To become a registered soccer referee an individual must attend a referee clinic in its entirety and pass the written exam. The minimum age to attend a referee clinic is 12 years of age. The clinics are normally offered each fall and spring. CLINICS
Will be held at St John Berchmans School, 947 Jordan St, Shreveport - 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
Grade 9 Recreational Referee -- A grade 9 referee can officiate only U/14 and younger, recreational games (No competitive games). The requirements to register as a grade 9 recreational referee consists of classroom instruction (8 hours) and exam (score of 75 or better). Attendance for the entire 8 hours is required. The cost for the clinic is $25.00 plus $40.00 for the year's registration with USSF. There is a minimum of 12 required to hold the course.

Will be held at First Baptist Church Activities Building, 531 Ockley, Shreveport - 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
Referee Bridge Course 8 -- This course is to train Grade 9 Recreational Referee (you must already be a Grade 9 either by taking the class above or having taken it in another season) who want to upgrade to a Grade 8 referee so as to begin working all youth games (recreational and competitive). The requirements for this course consists of classroom instruction (8 hours) and exam (score of 75 or better). Attendance for the entire 8 hours is required. The cost for the clinic is $20.00 plus $40.00 for the year's registration with USSF. There is a minimum of 12 required to hold the course. If taking both the Grade 9 and the bridge course (you must register separately for each), the cost is $45.00 for the clinics and $40.00 for the year's registration with USSF. A grade 8 referee can officiate all youth games.
