Tournament Rules

Bracket games will consist of two 30-minute halves with a 5-minute half-time break. Bracket games ending in a tie will remain tied.

Each team shall submit a team roster, containing the names of all players, all bench personnel, and all coaches.

Semi-final and final games will consist of two 30-minute halves with a 10-minute half-time break. Games ending in a tie will have a 5-minute break, and then proceed into a 10-minute "Sudden Death" period. A coin toss will determine ball possession. If the game is tied after the "Sudden Death" period, the outcome will be decided by penalty kicks. The team that did not take the kick-off in the OT period will shoot first in the shoot-out.

Two yellow cards will constitute a red card. Players/coaches receiving a red card will be banned from the rest of that game, as well as the following game. Two red cards will result in tournament expulsion.

Point totals will be used to determine bracket winners. The team with the highest points in each bracket will advance to the semi-finals. A wild card will be determined by the next highest point total. Points will be awarded as follows:
Win = 7 points;
tie = 3 points;
game loss = 0 points;
each goal = 1 point (max of 3 goal points).
Maximum point total per game is 10.

Winner of boys brackets A, B and girls brackets C, D, E will advance. Next highest points, one from A and one from B will advance. Girl’s team with the highest points from brackets D, E, F will advance as wildcard.

Forfeit games are considered a maximum win for the team present. Teams will be allowed a 5-minute grace period. Teams that forfeit will not advance.

A 7-goal lead will end the game.

At the end of bracket play, if two teams are tied for semi-final seeding, the following tie-breaker system will be used:
1st Head to Head competition;
2nd Goal differential for; - goal differential 3 per game max
3rd Goals against; - goal differential 3 per game max
4th Total number of cards;
5th Sudden Death PK’s.

Teams listed first will be the home team and will provide game balls and ball retrievers. In a color conflict, home team changes. Both teams will occupy the same side of the field.

The referee game card is the official document and becomes the record of the game. The winning coach should verify the scorecard for accuracy.

No alcoholic beverages are allowed on the premises! Parkway tournament officials will eject unruly fans.

Please be prompt. Captains need to report to officials as soon as the game prior to theirs ends, and to give the referee a copy of the official team roster, with only the names of the players present, with the captains noted. Please put names of all coaches/faculty reps present on the roster.

The Tournament Committee reserves the right to reschedule, shorten, or cancel any games due to inclement weather. Games terminated at half or later will be considered finished at that point. We may be forced to change your field location depending on conditions of fields at tournament time. In the event the tournament is canceled due to weather, the Tournament Committee will not be responsible for any expenses incurred by any team (including entry fees.) Player safety will be the highest priority in the decision-making process.

Players in full uniform will be admitted free of charge, anyone not in full uniform will be charged an entry fee.
