Southwood Cowboy Cup Tournament Rules

Rules of Competition

Except as otherwise provided, NFHS/LHSAA rules of the game apply to all competitions. Substitutions shall be in accord with NFHS/LHSAA rules of the game.

Game Information

Upon arrival, each coach should check in to sign in and receive their information packet. Temas will be divided into pools of 5, trophies will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place teams in each pool.

Game Format

Each game will consist of two 30 minute halves with a 10 minutes half-time break. Games ending in a tie will remain tied. A 7 goal lead will end the game.

Play Conditions

In the event of inclement weather, the tournament director in consultation with the referees will determine if a game is played. Games are considered completed if more than one half of the match has been played. If a match is stopped at halftime or earlier, the game can be continued or terminated, weather permitting.

Disqualifications

A player who receives a straight red card will not be eligible to participate in the next tournament game.

Protests

The Referee's decision concerning all aspects of the match is final. No protests will be allowed.

General Information

Tournament T-shirts will be available for purchase while supplies last, cost of the shirts will be $15. Also, on Saturday at Cargill, there will be a hospitality tent available for coaches and tournament officials.

Admission costs for each day of the tournament will be $5 and be good that day for both playing venues.
